LeBron & Demar Shut Down the Drew League!

Saturday, July 16, 2022 will forever be a day that the city of Los Angeles will remember. Demar DeRozan shared a tweet on July 15th on his twitter account saying:

Senior NBA Insider for Yahoo! Sports, Chris Haynes, also shared “LeBron James is expected to play in the @DrewLeague on Saturday for the first time since 2011.” The news swarmed over social media immediately after the leak was dropped. The day of the game, the line of fans wrapped around King Drew Magnet High School early in the morning. With the first game starting at 11 am PST, the inside of the high school gym was almost full to capacity. LeBron James & Demar DeRozan were set to play at 1:45 pm PST.

As the game got closer to starting, the anticipation grew amongst the entire crowd. Celebrities and fellow NBA players such as Quavo, Draymond Green, Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, Baron Davis, etc. were amongst those ready to see King James take flight alongside Compton’s finest DeRozan. The fans erupted as soon as LeBron stepped on the floor, giving fans the ability to see him up close and personal. As the game begun, LeBron was not missing and Demar was showcasing his elite footwork right away. The game ended up being very close towards the end but the “King” & “Debo” brought their team to a victory. Lebron finished the game with an outstanding 42 points, 16 rebounds and four steals. Demar also finished with a double-double 30 points and 14 rebounds.

This was a great day for Los Angeles basketball.
